Organizations

ALTAR GUILD
The Altar guild was organized in 1985. Members of the guild take care of maintaining the paraments and altar linens, as well as the brass altar and chancel appointments. The organization is also responsible for changing the paraments according to colors appropriate for the particular season of the church year. Meetings of this group are held four times a year usually on the first Saturday morning of the month in which the meeting is held, at 9:00 o'clock.

CHOIR
Trinity's has had a choir since the church was organized. The choir sings on the first and third Sundays of each month during the months of September through the end of May, and at special services. Rehearsals are held at the church on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m.

CIRCLE PLAN
Trinity has three Bible study circles which meet monthly in the homes of members. While Bible Study is the principal activity of each circle, the groups also adopt service and financial projects each year, and they are affiliated with the LWML. The Martha Circle is an evening circle, and it meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The Esther Circle is a day circle, and meets on the third Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. The Ruth Circle is also a day circle which meets on the third Thursday of each month, also at 1:30 p.m.

JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP
A Junior Youth Group was organized about 1984. This group meets the third Sunday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Junior Youth meetings bring members together for Bible Study, fellowship and games. The Junior Youth is comprised of members who are in grades five through eight.

LUTHERAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
The Lutheran Youth Fellowship, also known as the Youth Group, was organized in 1938 as the Young People's Society. It was also known as the Walther League at one time. Confirmed youth of the congregation are members of this group, which meets the first Sunday evening of each month at the church, usually at 7:00 p.m. A Bible Study or devotional period is held, followed by games and fellowship. The new church provides a Youth Room for these activities. Ping-pong table and foosball were recently placed in this room for games.

MEN'S CLUB
Trinity's Men's Club was organized in 1949. This organization meets for Bible study and fellowship in the church fellowship hall on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The men's club actively supports The Lutheran Laymen's League and the Lutheran Hour, which is the radio ministry arm of the LLL. Two fund raising events are held each year to provide funds for projects. A chili dinner is held in the fall, and a chicken dinner in the early spring. The club supports various mission projects.

MISSIONARY SOCIETY
Trinity's missionary society was started in March of 1952. The society has membership in the LWML, and is a member of the Sedalia Zone of that organization. The society administers the serving of fellowship luncheons after funeral services, and enlists many other women in the congregation to assist in the preparation and serving of food at these meals. The society meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30, except during the seasons of Advent and Lent, when the meetings are moved to an alternate evening.
