Wesley holds Bachelors of Music in Tuba Performance as well as a Minor in Music Technology from Missouri Western State University (MWSU) in St. Joseph, MO. During his school, Wesley also studied piano, music composition, and excelled at music theory. He has performed in a variety of ensembles including the MWSU Honor's Brass Quintet, the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, the Missouri All-Collegiate Band, and the Fountain City Youth Brass Band. Wesley also worked as a camp counselor for the Fountain City Brass and Percussion Camp for two years and worked as a tutor during college. Classes he tutored included Music Fundamentals, Music Theory I-IV, 20th/21st Century Techniques, and Piano Proficiency I and IL. As a pianist, Wesley started taking lessons at a young age and has performed as a soloist on many recitals and has been an accompanist for a wide range of ages from 5th/6th grade to collegiate soloist and ensembles. He is currently working as the choral accompanist at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, and just starting playing tuba with the Sedalia Symphony. Wesley looks forward to sharing his love and passion for music with his students.
